WhatsApp Chat Grid Account and Data Deletion

If you did not sign in

Two-chat mode does not require a Chat Grid account, so there is no server account to delete. Remove the extension from Chrome to remove its locally stored settings and identifiers from that Chrome profile.

If you signed in with Google

Send a deletion request from the same Google email address used for Chat Grid to mellowgridlabs@gmail.com. Use the subject WhatsApp Chat Grid account deletion. This allows us to verify that the request comes from the account owner.

After verification, the account and its related installations, sessions and entitlements are permanently removed from the active Chat Grid database. Aggregate technical counters and hashed anonymous installation-activity records cannot be linked back to an account. Anonymous activity records expire after 400 days without activity. User-triggered diagnostic reports do not store a user ID or installation ID and expire after 30 days.

Daily rotating database backups may retain a removed account for no more than seven backup cycles, after which it is no longer present in retained backups.

Local extension data

Deleting the server account does not automatically remove settings stored in the Chrome profile. Remove the extension from Chrome to delete its local storage from that profile.
